Safety Note to StarTree Job Applicants
StarTree wishes for all job seekers to have a safe and secure interview process with us. Note that some unethical entities may try to use the StarTree name and brand for fraudulent purposes, either for employment scams or for identity theft.
If you are contacted
If you have been contacted by any party that purports to be “StarTree,” please ensure the following:
- Any job description you are solicited to apply for is publicly listed on startree.ai/careers
-
Any job application form you fill out is located on boards.greenhouse.io/startree
-
Any email address you are asked to interact with ends in the “startree.ai” domain
-
At no time will StarTree solicit a payment or apply any cost or charge for simply applying for employment with us
In Case of Irregularities
If you have found any irregularities with any employment offers ostensibly from a party representing itself as “StarTree,” but not conforming to the above, it may be a fraud or scam. In such a case, we ask that you do the following:
-
Make sure to save any irregular correspondence you receive (emails, texts, private messages, screenshots, etc.) from any parties representing themselves as ostensibly from “StarTree.” You can share these with any governmental or law enforcement agencies that cover your jurisdiction.
-
Contact us, selecting the “HR/Employment verification” option, and leaving a detailed message about any irregular solicitation you received.
-
Contact the owners of any other website operator where you saw the irregular job posting and ask them to remove the fraud or scam posts.
-
Contact any national authority regarding the fraudulent job offer. For example, in the United States, you can report fraud to the FTC.
-
If you have already shared any confidential personal information with such an entity (such as personal identification cards, passport, or banking information), please contact your relevant national authorities. For example in the United States, you can report Identity Theft to the FTC and/or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
While we will work with you to the best of our ability to resolve any issues you report to us, note that StarTree is not responsible for the actions of unauthorized persons using our brand or trademarks for unlawful purposes.
